PC Chair: conference management. Get it, abuse it, it's free!

Venue

The conference will be held in:

The Newhaven Lecture Theatre
National E-Science Centre
(formerly the University Conference and Training Centre)
15 South College Street
Edinburgh

The lecture theatre is well equipped with video/data projector, a visualiser, VGA and MAC computer interface, slide projection system, audio system.

The building has disabled access and facilities and there is an induction loop system for those with hearing difficulties. Please indicate any special requirements on your booking form. Lunches and refreshments will be provided in the conference venue. The Conference Dinner will be held at another venue, yet to be decided. More information about that will follow.

South College Street is off South Bridge, adjacent to Old College (The University of Edinburgh's main administrative building). The venue can be approached from the north (ie the Princes Street area) via North and South Bridge. If you are coming from the south end (ie from Pollock Halls of Residence area) you would come via Clerk Street/Nicholson Street/South Bridge (one continuous road). There is a useful map at website: www.edinburgh.org/conference/gettingto-edinburgh.html. Select maps, then city centre (for Princes Street end) or south Edinburgh (for Pollock Halls end). South College Steet is not named, but is the street immediately south of Chambers Street.
